Sarah Reynolds
Bio

Sarah Reynolds is a singer, voice teacher, actress and performing arts educator living in Los Angeles, recently relocated from Boston, MA. She is a graduate of The New England Conservatory of Music, MM Vocal Performance, and The College of New Jersey, BM Vocal Performance. During her tenure on the east coast, Sarah performed in many operas, musicals, oratorios, and concerts — personal highlights including singing the roles of Pitti-Sing in the The Mikado, Cherubino, The Marriage of Figaro, and alto soloist in Mozart’s Requiem. A frequent recitalist, she has performed a diverse body of repertoire, most recently presenting a concert that featured the Blue Mountain Ballads by Paul Bowles, Cabaret Songs by William Bolcom, and music theater classics by Gershwin, Weill, Rodgers, and Porter. She has also lent her voice to several voiceover and studio music projects, most recently recording vocals for the Bad Habit Players’ production of Tom Stoppard’s Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead. Sarah currently performs with the Metro Master Chorale and Westwood Voices.

Sarah is a former cast member of the ImprovBoston theatre (awarded “Best of” comedy clubs in the Boston Phoenix and the Improper Bostonian several years running) and has performed regionally at many comedy festivals, including the Del Close Marathon in NYC and Boston’s Women in Comedy Festival. She co-created a fully improvised and interactive ImprovBoston Family Show (Nickelodeon Parents’ Pick Award 2009), and performed with IB’s Mainstage, Harold Teams, and in featured shows such as Tiny Little Lungs, a two-woman improvised musical/opera, and The Wasteland Comedy Hour with T.S. Eliot, a multi-media sketch show for which she contributed as a writer, performer, and music director. Sarah has taught improv to adults and children both through ImprovBoston‘s workshops, and in association with Young Audiences, a national program that brings professional performance arts educators into public schools. Sarah now trains with the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre and performs with Crossbow, a team of improvisers hailing from LA, NY, Chicago, and Boston, coached by Monika Smith.

A life-long advocate for music and performing arts education, Sarah became a registered Music Together® teacher in 2010 and since arriving in LA has joined the teaching staff at Dragonfly DuLou, where she also offers youth improv classes. She is also an Artist-in-Residence at the Hollywood Children’s Garden Preschool, where she offers her own dynamic curriculum in weekly music classes. Sarah is currently accepting new voice students, actively seeking new musical projects, and is available for hire.
